About Any Last Words

Hanora is a 25 year-old University of Exeter graduate. She owns a ukulele, wears a vintage bomber jacket, and is worried about the future.

John is a 76 year-old former University of Exeter lecturer. He can make a bow and arrow by hand, doesn't have a TV, and is worried about the future.

Both are progressive, upstanding members of society...

But who would win in a fight?

In a society which pitches old against young, how can the great age divide be bridged? And are the challenges of today so different than the challenges of yesterday?

Part theatre piece, part argument and part bow-and-arrow-making tutorial ANY LAST WORDS? is the third show from the acclaimed Jones Collective.

In Development

After spending some time during 2016 meeting older people from rural South Devon communities and North London, they are not in the process of making the show with Hannah Kamen and John Somers. Hannah is an Exeter-based theatre maker with a theatre company called Scratchworks Theatre , and John is a former educator in University of Exeter and an expert in applied drama.

Big thank you has to go to Bike Shed Theatre Company, Villages in Action, Beaford Arts, Jackson's Lane, Arts Council England, and all the communities across South Devon and North London who have been so generation with their time and honesty.
